Office Work estimation using Smartwatch

Abstract(in English) This paper describes work elements estimation for office work (e.g., typing and writing) by using a smartwatch and its performance evaluation. A purpose of this study is building a tool for grasping the current situation that contributes to productivity improvement of office work. This algorithm consists of 4 steps: linear interpolation, quantization, global similarity comparison by changing-point, and DP matching. Next, an experiment simulating a series of office work is conducted on seven subjects. And, parameters are semi-optimized by using the minimum accuracy. The result show the minimum accuracy and average accuracy are approximately 70% and 90%, respectively. Therefore, this algorithm can estimate work elements with high accuracy by a smartwatch. It is shown that this algorithm is useful to grasp that it can be used to grasp the current status of office work.
