Abstract(in English) In this report, we examine polarimetric scattering characteristics for grasping seasonal change of paddy rice growth by using quad-polarimetric SAR data. Here we carry out polarimetric scattering measurement for a simplified paddy rice model in an anechoic chamber at X-band frequency to acquire the quad-polarimetric SAR data from the model. The measurements are performed several times at each growth stage of the paddy rice in seasonal change. It is found from the result of the PolSAR image analysis for the measured data that the growth state of the paddy rice for seasonal changes can be understood by using the model-based scattering power decomposition and the related polarimetric indicators.
