Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A learning support system for programming "ProBE (Processing Beginner's Edition)" is a system that learns the basics of programming through the programming language "Processing". ProBE runs on a browser, and the first version of ProBE was released on the Web in 2015 and has been used in seminars for first-year students of the Meiji University Department of Computer Science. The latest version of ProBE was released in June 2019 and is still available. One of the features of ProBE is its editor. In ProBE, learners edit program code through a syntax-driven editor. This frees learners from syntactical errors such as forgetting semicolons and parentheses and allows them to focus on the essence of programming such as algorithms. This paper describes the basic functions and features of ProBE.
