| Abstract(in English) | The loudspeaker array technology is one of the promising approaches for immersive audio system and directivity control of sound. The loudspeaker array generally has multiple loudspeakers with individual filters to achieve the target sound field or directivity. There are varies of algorithms one can take to design the filter. One is a pressure matching method in which the sum of square errors between the target sound pressures and the reproduced sound pressures is minimized. Another one is a mode matching method in which signals and transfer functions are transformed into the wavenumber domain using spatial Fourier transform. The filter coefficients in wavenumber domain are obtained for each mode. The mode matching method requires a specific array shape such as a linear, a circular, and a spherical array, which is easy to perform a spatial Fourier transform. On the other hand, since the bases of the spatial Fourier transform are derived from the wave equation, the filter coefficient can be obtained as an analytical solution. In this invited talk, various topics of the loudspeaker array, especially concerning with the linear, circular, and spherical arrays will be discussed. |
