A Parameter analysis on LC-matching circuits for mobile phone applications

Abstract(in English) The LC/CL-matching circuits are widely applied to the RF power amplifiers (PA). In particular, ladder-type LC/CL-matching circuits are widely applied from the viewpoint of broadband. In this paper, we focus on the deviation of the load impedance and confirm the effect on the band when the intermediate termination impedance is changed for two circuits of LC-LC and LC-CL type, which are commonly used in the output matching circuit of PA. In particular, it is shown that the band can be expanded by making the intermediate termination impedance a complex impedance. For the determination of the element value of the matching circuit, we applied the synthesis method of the L-type matching circuit including the negative element proposed by the author.
