Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we aim to develop a sensor device that can detect compounds in the vicinity of roots in soil. In order to enable chemical sensing in the minute space around the root, a lipid membrane was applied to the sensor portion of a hetero-core optical fiber that have characteristics of thin size and light weight. The spectral characteristics were evaluated for multiple types of chemical compounds. As a result, it was clarified that this sensor interacts with specific bitter substances. Furthermore, it was suggested that the selectivity for compounds can be controlled by changing the type of lipid membrane to be immobilized.
