Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A psychophysical experiment was conducted for participants to view and rate viscosity of the simulated fluid in the videos in the forms of original (10.1016/j.cub.2017.12.037) and motion extracted using the proposed method: an algorithm (PRMU 2019/03) by vector field tracking. The relationship between the simulated and rated viscosity was not significantly different between the original and the motion extracted by the proposed method. The proposed method, therefore may filter-in the relevant information in human recognition of physically complex properties like viscosity and may be capable of generating movies compatible with human cognition by simple computation.
