| Abstract(in English) | In this case studies, we interpret logical structures of the speaker’s utterances in a group discussion. In previous researches, it has been focused on logical structure of speech made by speaker in presentations. On the other hand, in group discussion where many people involved interactively, it is difficult for a speaker to construct logical assertion until the end of his/her speech. We conducted group discussions by adult people and examined the logical structure of the speakers’ utterances. As a result, it was found that high-skilled speakers may use two techniques. One is the case where the speaker makes the logical speech structure by him/her- self. The other is the case where the speaker constructs the logic cooperatively by taking advantage of other hearers' utterances. |
