Abstract(in English) | Reservoir computing is a framework of recurrent neural network that learns time series, and is used in various research fields, because the computational cost of the learning is low and implementation is easy. Echo state network (ESN) is a network model of reservoir computing, but it is difficult to learn complex time series. Therefore, we proposed a reservoir computing model using Stuart-Landau (SL) oscillators as network elements. In this study, we show that the proposed model has higher prediction accuracy for complex time series data than that of conventional ESN. In addition, we analyzed the dependencies of prediction performance on the model parameters, and revealed that the higher prediction performance is realized in the region in which the SL oscillator exhibits damping oscillation. This study is expected to contribute to modeling and analysis of oscillatory phenomena like audio waveforms and EEG signals. |
