Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, novel access network systems are proposed and discussed in which network resources and their functions are virtualized and allocated dynamically for the efficient resource utilization or electric power reduction. In a kind of TWDM-PON system, when traffic is not large, some of the OSUs can be powered off, and ONUs are connected to rest of OSUs, therefore this type system can reduce its consumption electric power. However, if the switching and 3R (re-shape, re-timing and re-synchronization) time is not small, OSUs have to be powered on with the enough margin time. This paper assumes a system with high speed wavelength switching and 3R, which does not needs margin time and resources. However, there is some possibilities of issue that the queueing delay time might be large because the resources are smaller than the system with an additional margin wavelength. This paper considers the relation between the queueing delay and the number of given wavelength using numerical analysis and simulations. |
