Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose and experimentally evaluate a frequency offset elimination technique suitable for the unsynchronized bistatic Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar for the human-bodies detection. In this method, the direct path is used to eliminate the phase error due to the frequency difference between the transmitter and receiver. Then a Doppler shifted components of a MIMO channel is extracted by using Fourier-transformation, and the multiple targets’ locations are calculated by the 2-dimensional MUltiple SIgnal Clasification (MUSIC) method. An experiment was carried out in an indoor multipath-rich environment. In order to emulate the unsynchronized condition, 2 independent SGs (Signal Generators) are used for the transmitter and receiver sides. The number of the targets was tested from one to six. The experimental results demonstrate that our unsynchronized radar system can identify the locations of the multiple targets with a high accuracy.
