[Invited Lecture] Study on Radio-over-fiber-based radio relay system using block frequency conversion

Abstract(in English) To enhance spectral efficiency, we discuss a concept of the block frequency conversion technique for simultaneous reception of the signals in the microwave bands and the SHF bands. The technique helps the bandwidth of the signal within the modal bandwidth of a multimode optical fiber in a radio-over-multimode-fiber-based radio relay system. The block frequency conversion system will realize high-quality signal transmission as well as a long-distance transmission by the improvement of a link gain.
