Abstract(in English) | A method of 4-tone separate detection using a lock-in amplifier has been proposed for phase measurement of millimeter-wave 4-tone signal by electro-optic sampling. Conventional method which acquires a composite 4-tone signal causes considerable variation on the measured phase by the carrier phase fluctuation, and its frequency resolution is limited by the sampling time span. The proposed method which acquires separated 4 tone signals brought a fewer variation on the measured phase, and frequency spacing of the 4-tone signal can be smaller than the frequency resolution determined by the sampling time span. In addition, we have confirmed that the phase measurement of the proposed method is not affected by amplitude nonlinearity such as saturation on electrical devices. |
