Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photon imaging technology is applied in various research fields such as quantum information communication and biological imaging. We have been developing photon-counting devices using optical transition edge sensors (TES). We demonstrated a single photon spectroscopic imaging system comprising an optical TES and a scanning microscope. The imaging system is required to increase the number of TESs and the effective area for rapid imaging. To read out from the TES array, there are four typical multiplexing techniques. Microwave SQUID Multiplexer (MW-Mux) is a frequency multiplexing method with a carrier wave of several gigahertz frequencies, and it can widen the frequency band. In this paper, we report the demonstration on readout of an optical TES with MW-Mux.
