A study of the method to extend a distance for transferring power in a WPT system by using a Q-value enhancement technique

Abstract(in English) A method to enhance a reachable area of power transfer in the wireless power transfer (WPT) system has been studied. In order to achieve the objective, a Q-value enhancement technique for the receiving coil was adopted. This eliminates the influence of a series resistor of the coil in the receiving part, thus enabling power transfer more than usual. Calculation and circuit simulation using an equivalent circuit of the system have been done, and effectiveness of the method has been verified.
