Abstract(in English) | Recently, an LPWA (Low-Power Wide-Area) becomes to be used for constructing a wide-area sensor network because the communication speed is very slow but the communication range is very wide. In the sensor network, many sensor nodes that measure various information are deployed in a wide area, and are supporting the LPWA communication for transmitting the measure data to the gateway. Among various radio communication methods in the LPWA, LoRa is attracting attention because it utilizes unlicensed band (e.g., 920MHz, 429MHz) and the users does not need to contract with communication carriers. In addition, various communication modules supporting the LoRa communication have already been released by various companies, so anyone can easily prototype a sensor network system utilizing the LoRa. However, interval and timing of data transmission should carefully be adjusted in order to avoid the radio interference because the communication range of the LoRa is very wide and a wide frequency band is occupied when transmitting data through the LoRa. In this manuscript, we will introduce various sensor network systems that are prototyped by the authors using the LoRa, and the effectiveness of the LoRa is clarified for various fields. In addition, techniques for avoiding the radio interference are explained in order to improve success rate of the data transmission utilizing LoRa. |
