Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When we human beings see an attractive face, the brain system and the visual cortex are activated regardless of person’s sex. It is known that the perception mechanism of aesthetic preference has laterality. In this experiment, we examine whether the difference of presented visual field would affect the observed duration of face stimuli and there is a correlation between the duration and impression rating values. The results of the experiment says that the difference of presented visual field had no influence on the observed duration of face stimuli. On the other hand, there was a correlation between the observed duration and various impression rating values. Based on the results, it can be indicated that changes in the observed duration of face stimuli are caused by several factors.
