Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Polar codes asymptotically achieves theoretical channel capacity when code length is quite long, and have been adopted as a channel coding scheme in control channel of fifth generation mobile communications system (5G). In polar codes, it is necessary to appropriately configure frozen bits, which are known bits to both the transmitter and the receiver, to obtain excellent channel coding gain. We have studied that an adaptive coding with arbitrary coding rate can be realized in polar codes by changing the number of frozen bits. On the other hand, in satellite laser communications, the transmission channel fluctuates due to air scintillation and the transmission delay is relatively large due to long distance propagation. Thus, it is difficult to apply the adaptive polar coding in accordance with the channel fluctuation by using two-way control among satellite and an earth station. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a one-way adaptive polar coded transmission scheme to flexibly follow the transmitter’s state. In the proposed scheme, by inserting the transmitting rate information into frozen bits, the receiver can estimate the transmitted coding rate based on successive cancellation list decoding, without the two-way control signaling. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated through numerical simulations. |
