| Abstract(in English) | National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in JAPAN has conducted research activities on optical satellite communication since the 1980s。Currently, research and development are underway with three directions, (1) high speed, (2) downsizing。(3) security; (1) We are developing the HICALI optical feeder link equipment with communication speed of 10-Gbps class to be mounted on ETS-9 satellite to be launched in geostationary satellite orbit in 2021, (2) We developed a very small optical transmitter VSOTA installed in a 50kg-class small satellite RISESAT (Developed by Tohoku University)。RISESAT was launched in January 2019, and we are currently conducting optical satellite communication experiments。(3) With regard to the security of optical satellite communications, in collaboration with the Quantum ICT group in NICT, the development of optical quantum communication devices has been progressing. |
