Abstract(in English) Not only enlarging transmission capacity but decreasing latency in optical transmission has been drowning considerable attention in accordance with diversification of network services. In this study, a multi-functional multi-core fiber (MF-MCF) housing a low-latency core and conventional low-loss silica cores simultaneously was proposed. We then proposed advanced digital-signal processing based on the MF-MCF, which enabled to reduce both processing complexity and latency.
