Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we construct a microscopic traffic flow simulator for normal roads including traffic lights that using the only parameter "total delay" as the cause of contact accidents, and examine the accident reduction effect of the safety driving support system. In this simulator, “total delay” that represents the total delay time such as driver recognition, judgment, operation delay, mechanical delay, etc., and a driver model of “Sudden Brake”, which was not taken into account in the performance evaluation of the traffic signal control system, is added to the microscopic simulator for evaluating the performance of traffic signal control systems on normal roads including intersections that we have developed so far. A new simulator for performance evaluation of safety driving support systems on normal roads has been constructed. First, the relationship between the total delay and the number of accidents is examined based on the presence or absence of sudden braking, and a safety driving support system that warns the driver on a constant standard from the time-to-collision(TTC) with the vehicle ahead is taken as an example. Accident reduction effect is estimated. |
