Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Opticaconnector is essential to construct network system using multicore fibers (MCFs). The authors have proposed optical connector for MCF with Oldham’s coupling mechanism for general use. If the application is restricted to cable to cable connection, a simplified structure can be realized that a connection pair has an Oldham’s coupling mechanism instead of each plug has the mechanism. This paper described optical characteristics of SC type 4-core MCF connector with simplified structure.
