Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An installed optical fiber in optical communication system vibrates depending on its surrounding environment. A vibration measurement along the fiber is a promising method for visualizing the surrounding environment. We propose an OFDR setup for a relative distance to reference distance which deals with an issue of short measurement distance. The proposed technique measures vibration along a distant aerial cable successfully, and we identify a sagging cable section.
