Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Intentional binding refers to subjective temporal attraction between action and its outcome, and has been employed as an implicit marker of the sense of agency. This talk reviews potential mechanisms of intentional binding and its relationship with explicit sense of agency. I also present a data suggesting that intentional binding facilitates action?outcome coupling, and consequently fosters explicit sense of agency. Finally, I discuss hypothetical views on extensions of intentional binding to ecological situations involving action?outcome alternations and to potential role for the narrative self.
