Abstract(in English) | We have already developed high- density optical fiber cable using rollable optical fiber ribbons. However, these cables could not be employed in some areas because of the possibility of biological attack from, for example, birds, insects and small mammals. Conventional cable has a slotted rod and plastic laminated metallic tape sandwiched between inner and outer PE sheaths. Therefoere, we have developed the high-density optical fiber cable with high-strength sheath that offers both protection of the fiber and mechanical properties while improving workability. |
