Influence of the thermal diffusion by Heat Phase Adjuster on loop-type type thermoacoustic cooling system

Abstract(in English) Thermoacoustic phenomenon is an energy conversion phenomenon between heat and sound. Many researches have been reported to improve an energy conversion efficiency of thermoacoustic engines. As the one of the method of improvement way, a Heat Phase Adjuster (HPA) is proposed. In the previous study, it was shown experimentally that HPA can improve the amount of energy amplification in the Prime Mover (PM) . In addition, the optimum heating condition of HPA is clarified in the thermoacoustic engine. In this study, it was experimentally examined whether the optimum condition of HPA in the thermoacoustic cooling system. As a result, the conditions of optimum condition and the minimum cooling temperature did not match. It was considered that the reason is the heat diffusion from the HPA. It was found that the condition setting that thermal diffusion of HPA does not affect the cold part is necessary in cooling system using HPA.
