High efficiency 2.4GHz band rectenna with direct matching topology

Abstract(in English) This paper describes the direct matching topology of high efficient rectenna. At first, loss analysis of the conventional rectenna is described. It is clarified that insertion loss of the matching circuit is main contributor for rectenna’s efficiency reduction. The direct matching rectenna topology with the inductive folded dipole antenna and the bridge diode is proposed to remove the matching circuit with the insertion loss. The developed 2.4GHz band rectenna with the direct matching topology achieves rectification efficiency of 80.9%@27dBm. This is top performance with the commercial-based Si-SBD.
