Abstract(in English) In recent years, AS over ICN, which improves user experience quality (QoE) by developing adaptive streaming (AS) on an information-centric network (ICN), has attracted attention. The cache function in ICN helps improve QoE because the cache reduces redundant traffic and makes efficient use of network resources. However, a video segment acquisition from cache causes false bitrate estimation for bitrate control at a viewer, instable viewing quality of the viewer degrades QoE. In this paper, we introduce bitrate control based on AIMD control in TCP congestion control to address the above problems. We also propose buffer based AIMD control that incorporates efficient use of video buffer of the viewer, and evaluates it from the viewpoint of a viewer’s QoE, fairness in viewing quality among viewers, and stability in viewing quality.
