Abstract(in English) This paper describes a assist control of a lumbar power assist suit based on upper body acceleration. The developed assist suit uses springs and a motor to assist the lumbar motion in the lifting motion, and determines the assist timing based on the value of the acceleration sensors mounted on the upper body. The assist force is evaluated based on the surface myoelectiricity when lifting motion, and the usefulness of the assist timing generation method assist suit is examined from comparison with a commercially.
