Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we develop an AR pop-up picture book, which is a digital picture book using the augmented reality (AR) technology. However, general picture book writers have few technical skills and expertise in developing AR contents. We aim to develop an effect editor for AR books to help the writers to create expressive AR books. In this paper, we propose a new intuitive method to make effects for representing interactions among multiple actors by teaching motions. In the teaching motions, the writers demonstrate motion effects using real-world objects. The results of our experimental evaluation show that the system is useful enough to edit 3D motion effects such as movement and rotation in AR books.
