Abstract(in English) Recently, ASPs (angle sensitive pixels) have been discussed, which detect not only light intensity but also light arriving direction. For instance, the detection of incident angle can be realized by introducing the multiple layer of diffraction gratings to conventional image sensors. The unique function of incident angle detection can be applied to the advanced imaging technology such as lensless imaging, shape estimation of three-dimensional object, and so on. In this report, the directivity for light sensitivity in our proposed SOI (silicon-on-insulator) photodiode with metallic grating type SP (surface plasmon) antenna is evaluated. Then, the performance as an ASP is discussed.
