[Poster Presentation] Evaluation of Optical Fingerprint Positioning Scheme on Indoor Visible VN-CSK System

Abstract(in English) Indoor visible-light communications using lighting devices are attracting attention. Using a communication function, a lighting function and a positioning function simultaneously is expected to upgrade the previous optical wireless system. A variable N-parallel code-shift-keying (VN-CSK) system with modified prime code sequence (MPSC) having a indoor positioning function was proposed. The positioning function is realized by using the triangulation location scheme and an optical fingerprint scheme. In this paper, the optical fingerprint positioning scheme which uses a received optical power distribution is picked up. It is necessary to eliminate the interference from neighboring lightings to perform positioning. As results, it is shown that positioning is possible regardless the interference elimination. Moreover, it is shown that the positioning accuracy with the interference elimination is better than the accuracy without the interference elimination. Furthermore, it is found that the positioning accuracy depends on setting patterns of LEDs.
