Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The demand for wideband transmission is increasing greatly in satellite communication system. In wideband transmission, communication quality deteriorates due to linear and nonlinear distortion caused by analog characteristics of transmitters or receivers. To overcome this problem, we have proposed a low complexity nonlinear adaptive equalization scheme based on memory polynomial model which has two parallelized filters composed of linear and nonlinear components. The coefficient of nonlinear filter component is calculated by LMS algorithm, following the initial estimation of linear filter. This paper shows the design of quantized model of proposed receiver and the result of performance evaluation of computer simulation. The proposed scheme improves bit error performance by up to 3dB in the receiver with linear and nonlinear distortion.
