Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Buried pipes at deep depths may be challenging in real survey, the proposed experiments can solve this problem byexamining the backscattering signals transmitted and received by two types of antenna polarization. By analyzing energy of thescattering waves deployed by linear polarized Bowtie-Bowtie antenna at different orientations, exact position of the buried pipeshad been estimated. In addition, compact polarity produced by spiral antenna proved its efficiency to locate shallow and deepmetal pipes when it is operated as a receiver and Bowtie antenna as a transmitter, while poor resolution had been get in the caseof installing the spiral antenna as a transmitter. The Final results ensure the capability of the developed GPR system mainlyoperated by Bowtie antenna as a transmitter at different orientation and receive the depolarized signal by circularly polarizedone to locate underground pipes buried at different depths.
