SLA Driven Scheduling Method for Service failure with Cost Evaluation

Abstract(in English) Telecommunications carriers have been operating with high availability (24/7) to cope with network equipment failures for always maintaining telephone services that are public services, especially emergency calls and priority calls. However, diversification of services is expected such as 4K/8K ultra high definition television services and IoT services with a large amount of devices. Therefore, operations of telecommunications carriers need to flexibly change the quality of operations according to the required quality of each service. Then it is enable to reduce OPEX and contribute to the reduction of service prices. We have proposed the concept "SLA Driven Operation" that automates various reaction procedure decisions based on the service quality (SLA) that the operation should satisfy. In this paper, we expose issues for automatic determination of reaction methods, practitioner, and schedules required to realize SLA Driven Operation. We propose a method to automatically determine the failure handling schedules with handling costs, SLA violation costs, and lost profits.
