Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to the popularization of mobile terminals, more stations (STAs) will communicate with one access point (AP) in public wireless local area networks (WLANs). In the distributed coordination function (DCF) which is the medium access control (MAC) protocol of WLAN, the downlink communication from AP to STAs is suppressed for high-density deployment of high-traffic STAs because the transmission opportunities of AP and STAs are equally allocated when the node traffics are saturated. In this manuscript, we show that a success prioritized DCF helps AP to preserve the downlink bandwidth even in the saturated traffic environment by offering AP transmission priority.
