[Poster Presentation] Backoff Control for Consensus Problem based on CSMA/CA

Abstract(in English) This paper provides an adaptive backoff period setting for CSMA/CA based consensus problem. The consensus we focused in this work is the average consensus problem where multiple agents randomly located in the 2-D field wish to assemble in the same point under wireless communication constraints. Individual agents are controlled by themselves based on the partial information received only from the neighbor agents in a distributed manner. To make the focused average consensus problem more reliable and faster convergence, this work considers adaptive backoff period control method for a CSMA/CA based consensus problem. The proposed backoff control control is adaptively changed corresponding to the number of neighbor agents' neighbor agents as well as the number of its own neighbor agents. It is seen from computer simulations that the proposed backoff control based consensus has slightly worse performance than the one with fixed backoff period.
