Abstract(in English) | The low delay communication is important, while reducing the coding rate is also needed owing to a cost. So we want to investigate the relation between the delay and the coding rate. According to similarity between the distortion and delay, we employ the rate-distortion theory to analyze the relation between the coding rate and the delay. We consider how much the coding rate can be reduced subject to a given criterion on delay. By defining delay as the difference of the length of the input and the output,we established a formulation for rate-delay relation using a similar way to the rate-distortion theory. |
