Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, security issues of IoT devices have attracted the interest in the use of the wide network scanning as a mean of detecting their vulnerability. On the other hand, wide network scanning induces network congestion in the case of huge number of port scan packets. Previous literatures have proposed random permutation of IP addresses space to avoid the network congestion. However, this approach may degrade the normal IoT data communication. To solve this problem, network parameters associated with the network congestion should be taken into account in order to set appropriate scan speed. Therefore, we aim to find the optimal scanning speed({sl scan packet/sec}) in each sub-network by quantifying the impact of wide network scanning on the throughput of IoT data communication in this study. The effectiveness of our proposed model has been validated by conducting numerical analysis.
