Evaluation of Similarity Calculation Methods for Image Clustering based on PRNU Noise

Abstract(in English) In order to prevent crimes such as illegal uploading and secret photography, attractive attention has been paid to a method of identifying a camera that has captured a digital image using photo response non-uniformity noise that is pattern noise of an image sensor. PRNU noise is noise unique to an image sensor and can be estimated using multiple images captured by the image sensor. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate PRNU noise appropriately even if images taken by the target camera are mixed with images taken by other cameras by applying hierarchical clustering. In addition, we evaluate and analyze the calculation method of the similarity between images and the calculation method of the distance between clusters in hierarchical clustering. Experiments show that PRNU noise can be estimated with relatively high accuracy by combining the correlation coefficient and Single-linkage method.
