Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In dense network environments, concurrent frame transmissions often cause radio interferences and degrade network performance. Even if concurrent frame transmission occurs, frame transmission may be successful when the received power is sufficiently higher than the interference power. This phenomenon is called the capture effect. Because the impact of the capture effect differs among network nodes, the throughput of the node is unfair. In this research, we propose a theoretical analysis model that can evaluate the unfairness among network nodes for WLAN under the presence of the capture effect. In addition, the validity of the analytical model is confirmed by comparisons with simulation results. Furthermore, we propose a MAC protocol to improve unfairness.
