Abstract(in English) A single-carrier (SC) block, downlink multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system performs transmit beamforming in the base station (BS) to cancel interuser interference (IUI), and time-domain equalization in each user to cancel intersymbol interference (ISI). This paper proposes a scheme inserting known symbol padding (KSP) between every two data blocks, and pre-canceling the ISI from the KSP to the data block. A parameter called the cancellation coefficient in the proposed scheme is optimized to minimize the sum of interference and noise power, analyzing the partial derivative. Computer simulations show that the proposed scheme improves the instantaneous signal to interference plus noise power ratio (SINR) of 1.5 dB at the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of 0.1, compared with a conventional scheme without the pre-cancellation.
