Abstract(in English) | An ultrasonic velocity profiler (UVP) have been applied at many experimental and industrial fields to investigate fluid dynamics because it can conduct non-invasive measurement and non-transparent fluid measurement. Although conventional velocity estimators have difficulty for measurement of velocities less than 1 mm/s and greater than 1 m/s simultaneously. Therefore, we developed the novel signal processing method, wideband phase difference method, to cover lower and higher flow velocities. The technique detects the phase difference distribution of frequency domain between consecutive pulse echo signal, then the flow velocities are estimated. In this paper, we constructed the flow measurement system. Furthermore, the measurable minimum and maximum velocity was verified experimentally. |
