Asynchronous Cellular Automata and Reservoir Computing

Abstract(in English) The asynchronous tuned cellular automaton (AT_ECA) we have proposed has been shown to generate critical spatiotemporal patterns universally with respect to local rules, with a mechanism completely different from the so-called edge of chaos. In this study, we report on the application of this spatiotemporal pattern to reservoir computing, which has recently been attracting attention as a learning model of time-series data.
