Abstract(in English) | In an FDD system, downlink channel state information (CSI) is necessary at a base station for efficient transmission. The CSI estimated at user equipment using downlink training symbols is fed back to the base station. This method, however, reduces the transmission efficiency. In this paper, we propose a method to obtain downlink CSI at a base station based on impulse response estimation using uplink pilot symbols in a wideband OFDM system. We apply FISTA, an algorithm of compressed sensing, to estimate the impulse response. We evaluate the basic performance in a SISO system and compare the estimation performance with that of IDFT. It will be shown that the downlink channel estimation by FISTA is accurate and better than that by IDFT. |
