Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize battery-less wireless sensor networks, WPSNs (Wireless Powered Sensor Networks) are actively studied. In our study, we focus on a WPSN, where a sink node operating with battery collects data from sensor nodes and transfers power by using electromagnetic wave to sensor nodes. If the sink conducts power transfer regardless of channel state of each node over time-varying channels, battery energy of the sink can be ine?ciently used since the sink can conduct power transfer even when many nodes experience poor channels. Therefore, in this paper, we employ power transfer scheduling, in which power transfer is conducted only when many nodes can bene?t from good channels in order to improve power transfer e?ciency. However, with this scheduling, the sink does not conduct power transfer when only a part of nodes have good channel state, which prevents these nodes from exploiting better channels, thereby reducing their residual energy. In order to solve this problem, in this study, we propose power transfer scheduling which takes account of residual energy of each nodes while considering their channel states. The proposed scheme improves lifetime of buttery of sink while maintaining high data collection rate by controlling charging opportunities with the energy threshold of each node set based on their distance to sink with the consideration on their average link conditions. With computer simulations, we investigate the e?ectiveness of our proposed scheduling.
