[Poster Presentation] Development of Real-time Body Motion Identification System using Radio Channel Characteristics in Wireless BAN

Abstract(in English) In this article, a real-time motion identification system is presented which has been developed based on the knowledge obtained through the authors' previous works. At the beginning, we built up a custom wearable BAN channel measurement system with a commercial off-the-shelf sensor network system, where a radio signal strength between four sensors and coordinator could be measured. After preprocessing of interpolation and standardization for the measured raw data, the features are calculated and adjusted, and then body motion is identified by machine learning algorithm. In machine learning, we reduced the number of features based on the correlation of the temporal variation of data. As a result, we confirmed that the processing time of the data could be kept to the level that could be put to practical use, and verified that body motion could actually be identified in real-time.
