Transmission Power Optimization in Digital Radio on Radio Communication Using Superposed Modulation

Abstract(in English) The next-generation mobile communication fronthaul is composed of optical fiber links to cope with high-speed transmission, and it is necessary to take measures against optical fiber failure. We have proposed and researched the system combining optical fiber radio (RoF:Radio-over-Fiber) and high-frequency digital transmission (DRoR:Digital Radio-on-Radio). However, signal quality degradation caused by bit errors caused by additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN:Additional White Gaussian Noise) in the DRoR link is a major problem. To solve this problem, we propose a system using superposition modulation and aim to improve the signal quality. In this paper, we report the system overview and the experimental results of the system.
