Abstract(in English) | Currently in Japan, drones are actively researched and developed for disaster response and infrastructure inspection applications. These drones may be operated in an environment of no direct line of sight from the pilot (Beyond-Line-Of-Sight: an environment in which there is no visual or radio line of sight). A means to ensure communication with these drones are considered. In this research, we propose a drone control system using 169 MHz band, which is one of “unmanned mobile image transmission system” institutionalized by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2016. This paper describes the results of evaluating the communication characteristics using a prototype of the 169 MHz band radio system. |
