Abstract(in English) | This paper reports results of the following three basic experiments for detecting a handheld game console by using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) with a Wi-Fi sensing function in a search operation. First, we evaluate the sensing performance of two Wi-Fi devices used because the weight saving of equipment is required due to the limitation of the UAV payload. We next investigate applicable situations for the use of the Wi-Fi sensing function in various environments. Lastly, we demonstrate the usefulness of the UAV in a practical experiment. Through the experiments, the Wi-Fi devices were indicated to have different sensing performance, and then the use of Wi-Fi sensing function was cleared to apply limited environments. Besides, in a practical situation simulated a search operation, the UAV obtained Wi-Fi beacons of a handheld game console at an altitude of 80 m or more, and then the usefulness by displaying the information on a map was shown. |
